Can I flail, too?

I have my alarm set for 6:15 am tomorrow so I can get up and make coffee before I sit in front of my computer waiting for the claim post to open.
I have been on FB chat for a long time tonight talking to a friend who gave me some news that has freaked me out a bit and I am having trouble concentrating, which is making it difficult for me to get through these story summaries.
On top of everything, I have acknowledged to myself that the timing of this challenge couldn't be worse. I am out of town between May 18-29 and I still have to finish my art for spn_meanttobe and the wipbigbang before I go. Plus two projects at work I MUST complete before I leave. I am thinking I should not claim at this point and maybe instead be a pinch-hitter artist. But that makes me very sad, because I already have seen so many stories I'd love to work with.

I have no idea what I am going to do.

ETA: Before going to bed I turned off my alarm and after I had my coffee I got online to check the status of the claims. Four of my top nine were still available! I decided that was a sign, so I put in a claim. There was one (JJ-17) that I REALLY REALLY wanted, and I have such great ideas for, but there is no way I could accomplish what I would want to do within the time frame, so I had to give that a pass.

Anyway, I got the first of the three choices I put in and now I am going to have to buckle down and get to work.

ETA: And now I have signed up for another one. Because I am a crazy person.
